First Cake Class!

🎂 I Hosted My First Cake Class… And It Was Amazing! 🎉

Wow! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I officially hosted my first cake decorating class—and it was everything I hoped for and more!

From the moment the idea popped into my head, I knew I wanted to create a space where people could come together, have fun, and learn simple cake decorating techniques without feeling overwhelmed. And that’s exactly what happened!

🍰 Setting the Scene

The setup was cozy, inviting, and full of sweet anticipation. I kept things simple yet cute—just the way I like it! I had 15 seats ready to go, each with everything needed to decorate a beautiful vintage heart cake. I kept the designs beginner-friendly, focusing on easy borders and fun techniques so that everyone could leave feeling accomplished and proud.

🧁 The Energy Was Everything

The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and a little bit of frosting everywhere (which I’m totally okay with!). Watching everyone get into their creative groove and put their own spin on their cakes was so inspiring. Some attendees were a little nervous at first, but by the end, they were swirling, piping, and decorating like pros!

🎀 A Little Sip, A Lot of Fun

To make the experience even sweeter, I decided to make it a BYOB event. And let me tell you—cake decorating with a little sip on the side? A whole vibe! Everyone was relaxed, having fun, and letting their creativity flow.

One of my favorite parts? Seeing the smiles when everyone stepped back and admired their finished cakes. You could feel the pride in the room! I even had a few people say they couldn’t believe how beautiful their cakes turned out—and that’s exactly the kind of confidence I wanted to build through this class.

Of course, hosting my first class was a learning experience too. I’ve already taken notes on how to make the next one even smoother, like tweaking the timing a bit and adding a few extra decorating tips. But overall? I couldn’t have asked for a better start to this exciting journey.
